Sam Hornish Jr. Takes 2006 Indy Racing League Championship!
Sporting his BEAMdesigns painted helmet, Sam Hornish Jr. won the prestigious Indianapolis 500 in May 2006. Now Sam has taken the series championship as well (his 3rd in this series). We are stoked that Sam chooses BEAMdesigns and to be part of such an amazing career in racing!
Robby Gordon Wins the Prestigious Baja 1000!
Robby Gordon (wearing the BEAMdesigns RedBull custom-painted helmet) along with Co-Driver Andy McMillian, survived one thousand miles of the most demanding terrain known to racing, finishing with a WIN at the 2006 Baja 1000. We'd like to thank Robby for proving once again that BEAMdesigns is the toughest helmet paint in the business, and that even under the harshest of racing conditions, you can still look great!

Ricky Dietrich Wins WORCS!
Ricky Dietrich (and his BEAMdesigns custom-painted helmet) recently took yet another World Off-Road Championship in the toughest series in motorcycle racing - WORCS. Nice job Ricky - way to show the other riders what you can do when sporting BEAMdesigns paint!
Destry Abbott takes yet another H&H Championship!
Desty Abbott won the final Hare & Hound Race of the season, claiming his fourth AMA H&H Overall Title. Congratulations Destry - BEAMdesigns is with you all the way!
BEAMdesigns and TEAM USA take over 2006 ISDE!
BEAMdesigns riders Kurt Caselli, and David Pearson (riding for the US Junior Trophy Team) took home their share of 9 Gold Medals for the USA at this year's 81st Annual International Six Days Enduro, held in New Zealand during November. Congrats guys!
BEAMdesigns in the Winners Circle at INDY 500!
Every year for the past 12 years, BEAMdesigns has had drivers sporting our custom paint in the big race, but unfortunately, we've never had the honor of winning the big one - The Indianapolis 500. That all changed on Sunday, May 28, as our man Sam Hornish Jr. earned his first career Indy 500 victory with a stunning pass of rookie Marco Andretti literally in the closing seconds of the 500 mile race. Congratulations Sam, and thanks for speeding to the pole position and bringing your BEAMdesigns paint job along for the ride on the famous Victory Lane!
Red Bull Helmet Art
As one of the world’s most talented racing helmet painters, Jason Beam has been invited to take part in the Red Bull Helmet Art Exhibit - to be held in conjunction with the US Formula One Grand Prix, the weekend of July 1st/2nd in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA.

Art that is most often seen traveling at more than 200 mph will come to a screeching halt on Saturday evening, July 1, when Jason and 21 other elite helmet artists display a collection of their work at Red Bull Helmet Art in the lobby of the Emmis Communications Building in Indianapolis at 8:00 PM EST.

The exhibit will showcase the work to invited guests and Formula One elite in a gala-style setting to immediately follow the concourse on Monument Circle. The presentation will tell the story of the artists, their works and the methods of painting helmets in an evening of innovation, appreciation and most of all, celebration.
BEAMdesigns Sweeps Daytona!
2006 is getting off to a great start, as BEAMdesigns drivers swept the field at Daytona, winning not only the day's big event (the 500) but also the Bud Shootout and the Busch Series races as well. Here's the low down...
Jimmie Johnson wins the Daytona 500
Our boy Jimmie Johnson held off the best of the best for the grand daddy of stock car racing while proudly sporting the new BEAMdesigns painted Lowes helmet. Last year's NASCAR champ Tony Stewart posted a 5th place finish, while debuting the unbelievable new 22 karat variegated gold leaf helmet from BEAMdesigns.
Tony Stewart wins the Nascar Busch Series kick-off
Tony faired better in the NASCAR Busch Series kick-off, taking home the trophy for the second year in a row - also with a freshly painted BEAMdesigns helmet.
Denny Hamlin wins the Bud Shootout
NNCS rookie Denny Hamlin started off Daytona Speed Week by putting himself and his new BEAMdesigns painted FedEx Express helmet in victory lane for the Bud Shootout at Daytona. Congratulations Denny, we look forward to your continued success!
BEAMdesigns makes the cover of Sports Illustrated!
Our paint jobs are showing up all over the major media these days. First Playboy, and now the venerated cover of the world's most popular sports magazine - Sports Illustrated! Check out the December 2005 special collectors issue, featuring Tony Stewart and his custom BEAMdesigns painted helmet, on newsstands through March.
Stewart wins the 2005 Nascar Nextel Cup Series Championship!
Longtime BEAMdesigns driver Tony Stewart cruised to a second NASCAR championship in four years on November 20th, cementing himself as one of the greatest drivers of his time. Tony became just the 14th driver in NASCAR history with more than one championship and joined four-time winner Jeff Gordon as the only active full-time drivers with multiple titles. Congratulations Tony!
Just the BEAMdesigns facts...
Did you know that the TOP 4 of the TOP 5 in The 2005 Nascar Cup Series Championship wore BEAMdesigns painted helmets and that Tony Stewart's recent victory marks the 5th championship in the last 6 years where the winning driver was wearing a BEAM design? Yeah, we thought you did.
Jason Leffler wins the "Turkey Night Grand Prix"
BEAMdesigns' good friend and long time supporter Jason Leffler took home the trophy at the 65th Annual Turkey Night Grand Prix. Jason sped to victory in the legendary 100-lap race, for the second time in his career (he also won the "Turkey Night" race held at Irwindale Speedway in 1999) and etched his name along side some of racing's greatest who have competed in this historic event.
Congratulations Russ!
Russel Pearson won the 2005 AMA National Hare and Hound Motorcycle Championship, of course he was sporting a BEAMdesigns painted helmet all the way. Way to go Russ, and thanks for showing that BEAM paint jobs easily hold up against the most rigorous and grueling of off-road conditions!
Georgia Govenor gets Beamed
Georgia Govenor Sonny Purdue was recently presented with a special BEAMdesigns painted helmet by Atlanta Motorspeedway owner Bruton Smith. We think he looks pretty happy about it...
BEAMdesigns graces the pages of Playboy
We are proud to announce that our work has finally made it into the hallowed pages of the world's classiest men's entertainment magazine. The September 2005 issue of Playboy (on news stands now) features a Beamdesigns/Kurt Busch custom painted helmet on page 126. We know you only read it for the articles, but what a great excuse to pick up a copy!
Jimmie Johnson Conquers the Monster Mile in Dover
Jimmie Johnson put the BEAMdesigns painted LOWES helmet in Victory Lane at the Monster Mile in Dover. Playing out a near-perfect pit strategy late in the race, Jimmie held off Kyle Busch for the win after a late race crash brought about a green/white/checker finish. The win helped Johnson become the new point leader, gaining five positions. "Way to keep BEAMdesigns in the top spot Jimmie!"
Tony Stewart Victory Junction Gang Helmet
Continuing the BEAMdesigns legacy is 8 year old Fantasia Beam, who recently created all of the drawings for the Tony Stewart Victory Junction Gang Helmet. "Our daughter has always been a fan of Tony Stewart's," says Jason Beam. "I think because Tony's helmets have been such an important part of our business, they've had a big influence on her. She's been asking for the chance to work on her own design for Tony for quite some time, so we thought it would be great to have her paint a helmet that could be worn and signed by Tony, then auctioned off, with the proceeds going to Victory Junction Gang (a medical camp for children and their families living with chronic and/or life-threatening illnesses) that Tony is involved with. Fantasia did an amazing job on the artwork, and we think the helmet shows a lot of heart - from one kid to another."
Kurt Busch Wins Richmond Cup
Kurt Busch, sporting his BEAMdesigns Crown Royal Painted Helmet, took the checkered flag in The NASCAR Chevy Rock & Roll 400 for his third win of the season. One week after his 20-year-old brother Kyle Busch became the youngest race winner in premier series history, Kurt drove his Ford Taurus across the start-finish line 0.899 seconds ahead of teammate Matt Kenseth. Kurt and Matt are among six BEAMdesigns drivers in the "Chase," which begins next weekend in New Hampshire.
Tony Stewart Conquers the Famed Bricks at Indy
After 9 long years of vying for the win at his home track, Tony Stewart finally has his "Holy Grail". It wasn't his beloved Indianapolis 500, but the former IndyCar champion, who has longed to win a race at historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway, held off a determined challenge from Kasey Kahne to grab an emotional victory on August 7th in the Allstate 400 at the Brickyard. It was the fourth victory in the past six races and seventh top-10 finish in a row for the hottest driver in NASCAR, moving him into the lead in the Nextel Cup standings for the first time since he wrapped up his only Cup title in 2002. Congratulations Tony, BEAMdesigns is proud to be a part of your dream!
The "Chase" in New Hampshire
BEAMdesigns will be well represented at the "Chase" this weekend in Louden, NH - with 6 of the 10 competing drivers wearing BEAMdesigns painted helmets. This makes for pretty good odds that a BEAMdesigns helmet will be first to cross the finish line and take yet another Nextel Cup Championship (our custom painted helmets were worn by the winning driver of 4 of the last 5 races). Come on guys, lets show off those paint jobs with a championship!
Pearson Brothers in the Top 10
The Pearson Brothers pulled off top 10 finishes at the World Off Road Championship Series National in Montecello, Utah. Russell Pearson, sporting a BEAMdesigns paint job finished 4th, while brother Nick finished a strong 7th on the BEAMdesigns/Tony Stewart Racing Kawasaki. Way to go guys - and thanks for showing how our paint jobs withstand the rigors of off road racing!
Matt Kenseth Wins the Sharpie 500
BEAMdesigns helmets were worn by 5 of the top 10 finishers in this year's Nextel Cup Sharpie 500, including winner Matt Kenseth (wearing his new BEAMdesigns DeWalt paint scheme helmet). We'd like to thank Matt for keeping BEAMdesigns helmets up front and looking good! Following the race, the Sharpie Corporation raffled off BEAMdesigns Kurt Busch/Sharpie replica helmets to 8 Lucky Sharpie Executives.
IRL (Indy Car Series)
Sam Hornish Jr's chances of putting his BEAMdesigns helmet closer to a second IRL championship slipped a little farther away last weekend at Infinion Raceway. Unfortunately, mechanical errors during the race caused Sam to slip from 2nd to 3rd in the overall standings, and he now trails current leader Dan Wheldon by 96 points with only 3 races left in the series. BEAMdesigns will be rooting for ya Sam - we know you can do it!
